The world feels a little emptier, and our hearts a little heavier, as we say good-bye for now to Debi.

Debra Lee Moore, a loving wife, devoted mother, and beloved grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025, at the age of 69 surrounded by her family. Born in Atwater, California on January 24, 1956, to Wyman Tucker and Marilynn Bennett, she was a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee for 32 years.

Born with a suitcase in one hand and a Chihuahua (or 3) in the other, Mom didn't just see the world-she collected it, often as a spoon!

Through all of life's adventures, she had her devoted husband by her side-the love of her life, best friend, and the only person who truly understood her obsession with finding the perfect gift to show her love. Their love was a partnership filled with unwavering support and a shared appreciation for life's simple joys (and perhaps a little mutual eye-rolling when the Chihuahuas inevitably took over the house). Their journey together was one of love, resilience, and determination.

But no matter where she roamed, her heart was always with her family. A devoted mother and proud grandmother, she adored her children and grand babies with a love so fierce it could rival even her Chihuahuas' loyalty. She had a magical ability to pick out the perfect greeting card-whether it made you cry, laugh, or question your life choices, you always knew she meant every word inside.

She was also the mastermind behind the infamous tamale pie, a dish that somehow brought everyone together, whether they liked it or not. And if you ever found yourself in her kitchen around the holidays, chances are you were being gently coerced into making Christmas fudge-a process that tested both patience and sanity. (Many have tried, few have survived unscathed.)

Christmas started in July for her, she'd start watching Christmas movies and searching for the perfect personalized Christmas ornaments as Christmas gifts. With each ornament carefully chosen to commemorate life's big (and small) moments. This passion for history didn't stop there. She loved researching the family tree, tracing back roots, and uncovering stories of the past-ensuring that her family's legacy would never be forgotten.

She leaves behind a family who adored her, a pack of slightly confused Chihuahuas, and a legacy of love, laughter, and well-timed stubbornness. While we can't send her a card to express just how much we'll miss her, we know she'd pick out one for us that says it all.

So, in her honor-raise a glass, hug your dog, dig into some tamale pie, and if you're feeling brave, attempt some Christmas fudge (just don't blame us if it doesn't turn out). And maybe, just maybe, take a moment to explore your own family tree-because if she taught us anything, it's that our stories are worth remembering.

Debi was predeceased by her father Wyman Tucker, her mother Marilynn Morton, and her grandchild Austin Seiber.

Debi is survived by her husband Arthur Edward Moore Jr. Her children, John (Kathy) Phillips of Tenga, GA., Clarence Allen (Dana) Phillips of Rome, GA., Melissa (Kerri) Phillips of Woodstock, GA., step-son Edward (Kim) Moore of Cleveland, TN, and step-daughter Annalicia (Joey) Mathis of Glen St Mary, FL.; her grandchildren, Jonathan Fraser, Dominick Fraser, Courtny Phillips, Corina (Tyler) Woods, Cierra Phillips, Maddie Phillips, Bethany (Trent) Mull, Tristan (McKayla) Perdue, Lexi Perdue, Jansen Phillips, Sydney Seiber, Hunter (Autumn) Seiber, Austin Moore, McKenzie Moore, and Kendall Alexander; 10 great grandchildren; her sibling, Sharon Koslan: and her life-long friends Stephanie (Bill) Mandel, Denise Miller, and Lou Wright.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 3, 2025, from 1-3 and a memorial service will be held at 3 at Companion Funeral Home, Ridge Chapel 2412 Georgetown Rd NW, Cleveland, TN 37311.
