Debra J. Poor, 68, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025. She was born on October 31, 1956, in Muncie, where she spent most of her life surrounded by family and friends who loved her deeply.
Debra was a proud graduate of Ivy Tech Community College, where she earned her Associate of Arts degree. She dedicated much of her life to hard work and craftsmanship, spending many years employed at Indiana Glass and Tiara, and later at Tyson Mexican Original. Known for her strong work ethic and her caring spirit, Debra left an impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
A talented seamstress, Debra found joy in sewing and quilting, creating countless handmade quilts for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Each piece was stitched with love and will continue to bring comfort and cherished memories to those she held dear.
Debra was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sonny Poor. She is survived by her mother, Mary Campbell; her children, Jonathan Bartlett (Brandi) and Andrea Poor (Zachary); and her grandchildren, Haileigh Cash, Paige Lawhorn, Andrew Bartlett, Nicolas Bartlett, Rylee Thompson, Brady Lilly, and Addison Lilly, along with six great-grandchildren. Her family was her greatest pride and joy, and her love for them will live on forever.
A celebration of Debra's life will be held from 3:00 pm until service time at 5:00 pm on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor her memory and the remarkable life she lived.
Debra will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
