Debra L. Sabatke age 67, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, passed away August 15, 2023 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital.
Debbie was born March 4, 1956 to John and Clarice (Cox) Ksionek. She attended Nekoosa Highschool where she graduated in 1974. She Married Gary Sabatke in at Port Edwards Methodist Church in 1980. She worked as a secretary for the Parks and Recreation department of Wisconsin Rapids before retiring in 2012.
Debbie loved spending time at the cabin on Lake Nokomis and enjoyed riding on the pontoon. She also enjoyed ATV rides, gambling, and wintering in Panama City Beach, FL. Debbie always loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered by the bright smile on her face as well as her loving and caring personality. She always knew how to bring light into a dark room and will be missed dearly by her friends and family.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Gary; son, Richard (Tina) Ostrum; mother, Clarice McCrossen; grandkids, Alexis (Brandon Kundert) Ostrum, Gage Ostrum, and Jade Ostrum; siblings, John (Alita) Ksionek, Bernie (Becky) Ksionek, Elaine Ksionek, Jeanette (Mary) Ksionek, and Arnold Ksionek.
She is preceded in death by her dad, John Ksionek Sr.; and godson, Ben Ksionek.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Aspirus Riverview and Wausau Hospital as well as Aspirus Comfort & Care Hospice Services.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Switched II in Nekoosa starting at 1:00 pm.
