Debra "Debbie" Kay Snider, 67, of Quincy, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.
Debbie was born January 9, 1958, in Quincy, IL to William and Phylis (Finley) Snider.
Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Couchman (Zachrey) of Altus, OK; two granddaughters, Delylah and Leah Couchman; one brother, William Snider; two sisters, Brenda Kindhart (Rob) and Shirley Lewis (Mark); a brother in-law Jeff Spidle; and two aunts, Linda Buddemeyer and Cheri Birdsell (Charlie). Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents and her brother in-law, Donnie Kindhart. Her sister, Connie Murry, also preceded her in passing, and we find comfort in knowing they are reunited.
Debbie's spirit and joy for life were evident in everything she did. Her passion for cats was matched only by her love for collecting coins and indulging in the excitement of playing slots. A skilled card player, Debbie enjoyed a game of spades or rummy any chance she had. Her musical taste was a tribute to the King of Rock 'n' Roll, Elvis Presley, and she relished her visits to Graceland and Tunica, Mississippi, where she could immerse herself in the nostalgia of his music. Above all, Debbie's heart belonged to her family. The moments she spent with her grandchildren were precious and filled with joy.
Private family services will take place at Greenmount Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Quincy Humane Society or Toys for Tots.
