Debra Sprouse Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beinhauer Family Funeral Homes - Peters Township - McMurray from Feb. 1 to Feb. 2, 2021.
Age 69, of Peters Twp., passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alta (Gardner) Sullivan; Loving Mother to Kimberly (Tracy) Tippie and James Sprouse; Cherished Grandmother "Nana" to Alec, Noah, and Sophia Tippie and Jacob and Skylar Sprouse; Wife of late James Sprouse; Longtime companion of Frank Farine; Sister to Joseph Sullivan and Cathy Sullivan; Auntie to Joseph Sullivan, Christen Kuhl, and Caitlin Connors; Great Aunt to Joseph and Domenic Sullivan, and Magnolia and Maxwell Kuhl.

Debra loved her Catholic religion and attending morning mass. She was a member of the Ladies of St. John XXIII and a very active member of the Ladies of Charity.

Even as a young girl, Debra cherished family. She was happiest when surrounded by her many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She loved her Grandmother Sullivan who took her to Catholic mass. She adored her kind and generous mother Alta from whom she learned many lessons. Her father was a brilliant man of whom she was very proud. Ever the prankster, she would hide her big brother Joe's car keys to keep him at home with her. As a big sister to Cathy, she was always generous and giving. They were always by each other's side, even until the very end of Debra's days on earth.

Debra and Jim shared an incredible love with focus on raising their children, Kimberly and Jim. They were active members of Birmingham church, involved in many community activities, and spent many summer days at their beloved cottage on the Allegheny River. When Jim required a heart transplant at a young age, Deb was a tireless advocate to obtain him the care he needed. Despite the passing of her beloved Jim, she demonstrated endless energy in the raising of her children. She was always there for them to offer words of support.

Debra met Frank and became his companion for over 30 years. They worked together at Frank's business and enjoyed spending time in the outdoors at camp and on their boat. They hosted many Steelers parties and other get-togethers that were always full of fun and Debra's laughter. She had a way of making all of those around her smile.

Debra's infinite kindness lent guidance to those who had the fortune of knowing her. We will never forget her beautiful smile, ever present sense of humor, bountiful meals that welcomed all to her table, celebrations she hosted, and her readiness to dance. She loved her family above all and cherished each moment with her grandchildren. She was so proud of her loved ones and her encouragement inspired us all. Her unfaltering faith shone through to her last breath as she passed on into the light surrounded by love.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John XXIII Parish, St. Benedict the Abbot Church on Monday at 12noon. Interment will be private for family. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Ladies of Charity fund.

Debra was such a vibrant person we enjoyed having in our Women’s Club. Despite her pain she endured, she had such a positive attitude. We will miss her.
