Mrs. Debra McCurry Spurling, age 70 of Shelby, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 7, 2025.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Randy Spurling of the home, her children, Andy Spurling of Mooresboro, NC, and Travis Spurling and wife Krystal of Shelby, NC, five grandchildren, Seth Spurling, Sara Spurling, Ann Marie Spurling, Matt Spurling, and Landon Spurling, a brother, Scott McCurry and wife Jamie of Shelby, NC, and a sister, Rita Hayes and husband Larry of Shelby, NC.
Born November 26, 1954, in Florida, Debra was the daughter of James Boyd McCurry and the late Geraldine Greene McCurry and was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy McCurry.
Debra was a faithful member of Landmark Baptist church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed decorating home, gardening, visiting the beach, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 11:00am Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Cleveland Funeral Service conducted by Rev. Allen Davis. A visitation will be held from 10:00am – 10:45am prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Seth Spurling, Matt Spurling, Landon Spurling, Ben Spurling, Zack Adams, and Jordan Bradley.
