Debra Rae Stevens
Debra Rae Stevens, age 70, passed away on November 6, 2025, in Rio Verde, AZ.
Born on January 1, 1955, in Green Bay, WI, Debra was the daughter of Robert Motquin and Joyce Motquin Steinke. She grew up in Green Bay and graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1973. Driven by a passion for learning and personal growth, she went on to earn her Master's Degree in business administration-a testament to her determination and intellect. Her education was put to use at Green Bay Packaging where she worked until her retirement.
Debra was a remarkable woman in strength and independence. Her loyalty to those she held dear was unwavering, and while she often kept her deepest affections private, her love and care were felt profoundly by those fortunate enough to be close to her. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Brian, with whom she shared a life built on mutual respect and enduring companionship.
Family meant everything to Debra. She is survived by her beloved husband, Brian; her brothers Mark (Donna) Motquin and Paul (Amy) Motquin; her sister Kathleen (Kyle) Long; mother-in-law Dee Stevens; and brother-in-law, Scott Stevens; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Among her many nieces and nephews, Debra held special bonds for two. She was like a second mother to her nephew, Paul (Jasmine) Long, and cherished the role of grandmotherly figure to their children. Her niece, Sara, also held a particularly meaningful place in Debra's heart.
Debra's life was enriched by the simple joys that brought her peace and fulfillment. She was an avid reader who found solace in the written word. Her numerous Persian felines brought her much comfort over the years. Her gardens reflected her nurturing spirit, vibrant spaces where she spent countless hours tending to flowers with care and pride. She also enjoyed walking and swimming, activities that allowed her to connect with nature and maintain the vitality that defined much of her life.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Motquin; mother, Joyce Motquin Steinke; stepfather Robert Steinke; father-in-law, Bill Stevens; and her grandparents.
Debra will be deeply missed by all who loved her. Her legacy lives on not only through the memories shared by family and friends, but also through the quiet strength, loyalty, and love she gave so generously throughout her life.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2026 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
