Debra Stevenson Troendle, 65, of Lansing, IA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse, WI. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 9th, at 12:00 PM at Utica Lutheran Church in rural Ferryville, WI, with Pastor Lynn Schreck officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Friends may greet the family from 10:00 AM until the time of services on Saturday at church. Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home in Lansing is handling arrangements.
Debra Sue Troendle was born November 27, 1957, in Viroqua, WI, the daughter of Ivan and Evelyn (Warren) Stevenson. She grew up on a farm near Ferryville, WI, and graduated from North Crawford High School in Gays Mills. She worked for Northern Engraving and while there, met Dennis Troendle. They married in September of 1980.
In 1987, she and Dennis bought the Red Barn Resort and Campground in Lansing, IA, and operated it for 26 years. Deb enjoyed cooking for the customers and made many lifelong friends. Their two daughters, and later their grandchildren, grew up and worked at the Red Barn as well.
After retiring from the business, Deb loved riding motorcycles, traveling, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Deb is survived by her husband Dennis of Lansing, IA; daughters: Jessica Troendle of La Crosse, WI, and Kristina Troendle (Christian Taylor) of Leadville, CO; grandchildren: Jasmyn, Justyce, and Scarlett; and three brothers: Wyman (Linda), Terry (Marcia), and Brian (Dawn) Stevenson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Casketbearers are Terry and Brian Stevenson, Randy and Donald Troendle, Ron Heim, and Mark Hammell.

My heart goes out to you during a difficult time of grief. My thoughts and prayers are with you Dennis and your family Deb was always such a sweetheart each time I had the pleasure of seeing her it´s been a good long time since of seen the both of you.
