Debra Lynn Willis, of Old Fort, passed away on her 63rd birthday, January 8, 2025 at her home.
She was born in Miami-Dade County, Florida to the late Pat Willis and Bertie Ellen Roland Willis. Debbie was a very family-oriented person. She absolutely adored her grandson, Atticus, and she had a special bond with her sisters. She had a humorous personality and enjoyed cutting up and sharing jokes with those closest to her. Debbie had a sweet spirit and would do anything she could to help others. She was a fan of Elvis Presley, and it was only fitting that she was born on his birthday. Debbie also held a special place in her heart for her faithful canine companions, especially Baby Boy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters, Patsy Thigpen, Karen Willis, Kenneth Willis, Dennis Willis, and Thomas Willis.
She is survived by her children, Kaylynn Willis (Cade Hoppe) and Michael Willis; her grandson, Atticus Noblitt; her husband, Jimmy Coursey, Jr.; and two siblings, Christopher Douglas Willis (Jerri “Bambi” Patterson) and Jennifer Willis.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m.
