Mrs. Kathleen Worley Willis, a loving and devoted wife, mother and friend to everyone went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at her home.

A graveside service will be conducted on Sunday at 3 PM in the Willis Family Cemetery in Willis Neck.

Mrs. Willis was born on March 16, 1935 in Pollocksville. She was one of 10 children born to her parents, Walter and Cammie Worley. Mama lived in many places during her life and was always so thankful she was able to finish High School in Vanceboro. It was there that she met "the best thing that ever happened to her", Shady Ray Willis. Mama devoted her life to caring for Daddy and her two daughters. Later came wonderful grandchildren who she totally adored. Mama lived her life caring, providing and teaching by example what a virtuous woman does for her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Willis was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Shadrick (Shady) Willis on May 16, 2016, her siblings, Walter Worley, Jr., Herman Worley, Clem Worley, Elliott Worley, Johnny Worley, Glen Worley, Juanita Worley Collins, Sally Worley, and Nettie Ruth Worley.

Momma is survived to carry on her and Daddy's legacy by Daughters, Debbie Willis Taylor and husband, Wayne, and Phyllis Willis Godley and husband, Elwood; Four grandchildren, Wesley Taylor (Courtney), Thomas Godley, Jonathan Taylor and wife, Meredith, Melissa Lupton and husband, Clayton; Six great-grandchildren, Kalynn Godley, Lily Lupton, John & Luke Taylor,

Cora Lupton and Franchesca Whitford; A kind and humble sister-in-law, Leola Worley; Niece, Cammie Kay Howell; Nephew, Chris Worley; and Great-nieces, Cammie Gaskins, Carol Taylor.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church prior to the graveside service.
