DeeAnn Schubbe Obituary
DeeAnn Schubbe, age 88, formerly from Mapleton and currently of North Mankato, died Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
DeeAnn was born December 8, 1936 in Mankato to Melvin and Velma (Wolff) Wiebold. She graduated from Mapleton High School. DeeAnn married Robert Schubbe on January 12, 1957, and they were blessed with two children, Cathy and Mark. She worked at Kerns Variety Store and later Carlson Craft.
DeeAnn enjoyed camping, riding shotgun for her grandson’s races, and spending time with family.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Luitjens of Janesville; son, Mark (Vicky) Schubbe of Mapleton; grandchildren, Kyle (Megan) Luitjens of Janesville, Jessica Schubbe of North Mankato, and Alex (Mallorie) Schubbe of Mankato; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Katelynn Luitjens of Janesville; brother, Ron (Kayla) Wiebold; and nieces and nephews.
DeeAnn was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Schubbe; parents, Melvin and Velma Wiebold; sister, Gloria Van Brunt; grandparents, Otto and Olivia Wolff; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Theresa and Emil Schubbe; and sisters-in-law, Rita Schubbe and Margaret Schubbe.
