Deena Leigh Shipler

Deena Leigh Shipler, 58, beloved Wife, Mother, Mother-in-law, and Grammy, was called to her eternal resting place on January 31, 2025. She entered this world on August 16, 1966 in Carlsbad, NM, born to William Dean and Utana Sue Allen. She is survived by her husband of 40 Years, Terry Lynn Shipler, son Justin Lane Shipler, daughter Meagan Reann Bonsu, son-in-law Edward Kwesi Bonsu, grandson Bentley Kojo Bonsu, and grandson Jasper Kwaku Bonsu. Deena is proceeded in death by her mother Utana Sue Allen, Father William Dean Allen and Brother Tracy Neal Allen. Deena graduated from Carlsbad High School with Honors in 1984. She received a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from NMSU in 1988, where she applied this to Corporate Accounting. Deena was known for her love of "Friends", Hallmark movies, and everything Christmas. She so enjoyed decorating and cooking for our Christmas Eve open house and New Mexican buffet celebrations with any and all that could come. Deena had accepted Jesus as her Savior, believing Jesus is the only way to eternal life in Heaven.

A celebration of her life will be held at 10 am Monday, Feb 17th at New Life Church 2701 American Rd NW, Rio Rancho, NM 87124. An interment will follow at 12 noon at Sandia Memory Gardens 9500 San Pedro Dr NE, Albuquerque, NM. Followed by a Pot-Love (Luck) reception around 1 pm, back at New Life Church Rio Rancho.
