Deirdre Hatton

Deirdre Hatton (Carty), 86, passed away on September 27, 2023.
She was born in Dublin, Ireland to John and Mabel Carty. Growing up in Dublin, she spent summers in Bundoran. She was a teacher and taught in Ireland and France before coming to the United States, where she met the love of her life, Harold "Butch" Hatton. She was a great cook and especially enjoyed baking. She was always creative, whether making candles, sewing, teaching exercise classes, or learning all sorts of new crafts. She will be missed dearly by her family.
Deirdre was pre-deceased by her husband, Harold. She leaves behind her three daughters, Kerry Cozzolino and husband, Marc, Darryl Petrullo and husband, John, Shauna Ratliff and husband, Jeff, as well as her grandchildren; Colin Petrullo, Ava Cozzolino, Devon Petrullo, Dean Cozzolino, and Clare Ratliff. She is also survived by her sister, Geraldine and husband Peter, as well as nieces and nephews.
Celebration of her life will be held Friday, September 29 from 3:30 – 7:30 pm at Bradley's Funeral Home, 345 Main St, Chatham, NJ 07928. Funeral gathering will be on Saturday, September 30, at 10:30am at Church of Christ the King, 16 Blue Mill Rd, New Vernon, NJ 07976.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to American Heart Association.
