Delane “Earl” Wilson, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025, at the age of 56. Celebration will be held at 1 pm at Hope Deliverance Temple. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held Monday, July 28th, 2025, from 4 pm. to 6 pm at Griffin Mortuary. He was born on March 9, 1969, in Lubbock, TX to Lynn and Aline Wlson. Earl grew up with a deep love for family and being the life of the party.
Earl met the love of his life Joy Quigley-Wilson, and they shared 26 wonderful years. As a devoted father, he cherished his family above all else. He was a dedicated sanitation supervisor at Wells Fargo for over 35 year and took pride in mentoring his team. He was always helpful, kind, and considerate. Earl allowed everyone to grow and learn.
He was Definitely a New York Giants fan!! Earl was a blessing to everyone. He modeled the scripture, Bear with each other and forgive one another. If any of you have a grievance against someone, Forgive, as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues, put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Colossians 3:13-14.
Known for his kindness, humor, and unwavering faith, Earl had a profound impact on the lives of many. He is survived by his wife, Joy; children: Chandra Lewis (David), Earl “EJ” Wilson, Jr. (Freta), Christy Wilson, Tamarius Wilson, Mona Wilson (Victor), Kendrick Quigley (Mia), Anatazia Baldwin, Mayah Wilson. Grandchildren: Ty’Anthony Wilson, Ty’Laisia Lewis, Ty’Daeria Taylor, Ty’David Taylor, Christopher Woodruff, Kayden Wilson, Nevaeha Wilson, Araysha Compton, Kyrie Wilson, Andrea Virgen, Ja’Kobe Quigley, DeKeyvion Williams, and DeShawn Williams. His siblings: Travis Jones, Rosie Thompson, Lynn Wilson, Michael Wilson, Lorene Wilson-King, George Wilson (Margaret), Christine Wilson, Kathereen Wilson- Washington (Vincent), and Sarah Williams (Charles), and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
