Delbert House Obituary
MASSENA- Delbert G. House, Sr., 64, unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at his home.
Delbert was born August 8, 1961, in Gouverneur, son of the late Ralph and Doreen (Dashnaw) House. He attended Gouverneur schools and married Elizabeth Dashner. The marriage ended in divorce. He then married Elva Taylor.
He was a mechanic for many years at Spilman's Garage in Hailesboro. Delbert was an avid fisherman, enjoyed tinkering with vehicles, and travelling.
Delbert is survived by two children, Brittany Erickson of Gouverneur; and Dillon Erickson of Butte, MT; two grandchildren, Renee and Miles Erickson; his siblings, Ora House, Mark (Cathy) House, Barbara (Bill Mandigo) Woodrow, Penny (Lance) LaMar, Sheree (Fred) Cook, Karen (Mike) Shinski and Amy (Rusty Hartle) House, all of Gouverneur; and Robin (Dougie) Stone of Ogdensburg; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents Ralph and Doreen, he was predeceased by a brother Leslie House.
