Delbert Charles Kolman

Delbert Charles Kolman, Jr., 85, passed away on October 9, 2025, at the New Hampton Nursing and Rehab shortly after moving to Iowa due to failing health to live with his sister Alice. He was born on January 4, 1940, to Delbert B. and Fern E. (Clary) Kolman. Delbert graduated from Lone Rock High School and entered the US Air Force and was stationed in Greenland. Upon his honorable discharge, he went to work for Wolf Kobly and Hersey/Block Iron Supplies until his retirement. On September 5, 1965, Delbert was united in marriage to Patricia Young and the couple had a son Bradley D. Kolman. While Delbert was a locksmith by trade – he was a carpenter at heart. He built many wooden pieces from furniture to intricate moving clocks & toys, cabinets for his tools. He enjoyed camping and fishing, along with playing lots of cards. Delbert was Active with the Madison American Legion until he moved to Iowa.
Delbert is survived by his sisters:
Tressa (Bill) Ward of Richland Center WI,
Alice Kasuboski of New Hampton IA;
Many Nieces and Nephews.
Delbert was preceded in death by parents Delbert and Fern, wife Patricia (Young), son Bradley, and sister Virginia Murray.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the Pratt Memorial Chapel with burial to follow in the Dayton Corners Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Pratt Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at 2:00 PM. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
