Del Lee Parsons, September 18,1962-October 30, 2025. Del was born in Newfoundland, Canada and passed too soon on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Lakeland Regional Hospital at the age of 63.
Del enjoyed life by doing things his way. His sisters spoiled him as a child and had fun with him as an adult. He met his wife, Tammy, in 2005, and married in March of 2013. They enjoyed their years together and devoted their time to loving and taking care of each other. His greatest pride was his children, Nicholas and Courtney. The bond they shared was built on love, laughter, inside jokes and a lifetime of memories. Del poured his heart into his kids and that love lives on in them and his grandkids. A true Dallas Cowboy fan, Del never missed an opportunity to watch/talk football with his son. He enjoyed playing pick-up basketball as much as possible. He had a deep passion for cars and had a great love of shoes that were signatures of him. Del worked with his parents for many years ultimately taking over the family business when his parents retired. He was self-taught in light construction and enjoyed remodeling homes.
Known as Husband, Dad and Pops, he leaves behind a lifetime of treasured memories and good times. Del was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert Sr. and Una Faye Parsons. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Tammy and his children and grandchildren: Nicholas (Ashley) Parsons (Brody and Emilia), Courtney (Derek) Kirkland (Cole, Bristol and Connor); his wife's children: Mindy (Chris) Arnold (Andrew and Benjamin) and Ashley (Matt) Davila (Chase and Mckenzie): his two sisters, Cheryl (Larry) Appel (Erika and Monika), Tina (Scott) Sommer (Ryan and Christopher) and his dearest family friend, Joanne.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on November 7, 2025, from 5:30-8:00pm at the Donald Bronson Community Center, 124 Bronson Trail, Polk City, FL. Please join us and celebrate the life of Del. Del will be interned in a private ceremony on November 14, 2025, at Bushnell National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
