Elsie Parsons

Elsie Jean Parsons, age 77, went to be with the Lord on November 7, 2025. She was born in Jackson, Michigan, to her parents, the late Arthur Bailey and Margaret Patterson.
Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Daniel Whitaker; and her sister, Evelyn (Virgil) Rowe.
She is survived by her loving children, Denise (Johnny) Green, Donna Parsons (Jim Fry), Tamara Hines, and Christina (Blake) Crawford; grandchildren, Seth, Kim, Deb, Ally, Mereta, Sarah, Gordon, Kurtis, Dakota, Mathew, Breanna, and Braylynn; as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Elsie was a longtime member of Mount Hope Church in Lansing, where her faith was an important part of her life. She loved thrift shopping, took great pride in her independence, and cherished the time she spent with her family, especially the many memories made during family trips to Swains Lake in Concord.
She had a lifelong passion for horses and even raised one, "Princess," when she was young. Elsie was known for her strong work ethic and determination, retiring from General Motors and Fisher Body in Lansing after 35 years of dedicated service. Never afraid to get her hands dirty, she was even known to work on her own cars from time to time.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Lauer Family Funeral Home, 116 South Main Street, Concord, Michigan 49237. Cremation will follow.
