Delfina Davis Pruneda, 91, of Uvalde, Texas formerly of Sabinal, Texas passed away on May 12, 2025, at Amistad Nursing Home in Uvalde, Texas.
She was born on July 17, 1933, in Sabinal, Texas to Florencia (Davis) and Hilario Pruneda.
A visitation in honor of Delfina will take place on Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Sabinal, with a rosary service at 7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sabinal. Following the service, interment will occur at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest surrounded by loved ones.
She is survived by three nieces, Delfina Reyes of San Antonio, Sylvia Pruneda of Houston, Lydia Jeffreys of New Weverly and nephews Christopher Pruneda of Arlington, Jesse and James Pruneda of Houston and their families.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers Enemencio and Manuel Pruneda.
Delfina's spirit and kindness will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her.
