Della Frederick Obituary
A visitation will take place at Teche Baptist Church on Sunday from 12:30 PM until service time.
Brother Reggie Williams will officiate at the funeral service.
Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Della was born on March 14, 1952 in Lafayette. Della will be remembered for her dedication to W.I.N.G.S (Women in God's Service), where she was a proud and active member.
In her free time, Della enjoyed fishing, thrift shopping with her sisters, and cooking delicious meals for her family. Her kitchen was always filled with warmth and laughter, a true reflection of the love she poured into every dish she prepared. One of Della's joys in life was her love for butterflies and hummingbirds.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Leroy Frederick; children, Julie (Travis) Roberts, Jonie (Kurt) Vice and Joshua Frederick; step-children, Jeri (Mike) Thrasher, Jamie (Jason) Phillips and Jody (GiGi) Frederick; grandchildren, Camryn Roberts, Sadie Roberts, Grayson Roberts, Ryan Vice, Allie Vice, Dalton Thrasher, Kate Thrasher, Jake Phillips, Jessica Phillips, Nathan Frederick and Halee Frederick; great grandchildren; Rumour, Braden, Wyatt, Karter, Kennedi and Kira; brother, Herbert Huval; sisters, Linda (Patrick) Comeaux and Pam (Darrell) Melancon.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Russey and Doris Lanerie Huval; and her brothers, Leonard and Donald Huval.
Pallbearers will be Jody Frederick, Nathan Frederick, Justin Sullivan, Christopher Gonsuron, Cord LeBlanc and Jake Phillips.
Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
