Della Landry Hoffpauir

A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Reverend Stephen S. Irudayasamy for Della Louise Landry Hoffpauir, 92, will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mrs. Hoffpauir's grandson Drew Hoffpauir will be the vocalist for the mass. Interment will follow at Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Vincent's Funeral Home of Kaplan on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 6:00 PM until 8:30 PM, with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 9:00 AM until time of service at 2:00 PM.

Della Hoffpauir, a native and resident of Kaplan, La passed away Sunday, September 21, 2025, surrounded by family. Della was married to Norman Ray Hoffpauir of Indian Bayou, La for 63 years. They had three children, Julie, Joel, and Wynn. Della was dedicated to and served her community in the Banking Industry for 50+ years as an employee of Kaplan State Bank and was a devout parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church where she was a member of the Come Lord Jesus group. Della and Norman shared the love for the game of bowling in which they were awarded several trophies throughout the years. She was a master at the game of Scrabble and enjoyed playing the game and other brain teaser games for hours with her grandchildren, friends, and in tournaments. She was most dedicated to her faith, her family, and adored her 1st great grandchild, who shared her name, Della.

She is survived by her son, Wynn Hoffpauir and wife Melissa of Kaplan; her daughter in law, Rachel Hoffpauir of Youngsville; grandsons, Dylon Hoffpauir of New Orleans, Drake Hoffpauir and wife Malani of Youngsville, Drew Hoffpauir of Lafayette, Dax Hoffpauir of Youngsville, and Joshua Hoffpauir of Lafayette; and great-granddaughter, Della Mae Hoffpauir of Youngsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Amy Vidallier Landry; her husband, Norman Hoffpauir; her sister, Shirley Boguski; her daughter, Julie Hoffpauir; and her son, Joel Hoffpauir.

Serving as pallbearers will be her son Wynn Hoffpauir and her five grandsons, Dylon Hoffpauir, Drake Hoffpauir, Drew Hoffpauir, Dax Hoffpauir, and Joshua Hoffpauir.

The family of Della Hoffpauir would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the Lamm Hospice team, and Charlene Guidry for the great care and compassion.
