Della Hucks Obituary
Della was born on May 15, 1954 in Charlotte, NC, daughter to the late George and Betty Atwell. In addition to her parents Della was also preceded in death by two sons Danny Hucks and Tommy Hucks and also by her brothers.
Following high school she took several machinist courses at CPCC. She was a home painter, machinist and loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Della enjoyed helping raise her grandchildren and loved being there for them. She liked reading and collecting recipes, collecting stamps and coins and especially spoiling her dogs.
Survivors include her loving husband Jimmy "Mike" Michael Hucks, Sr.; children Jimmy Michael Hucks, Jr. (Sheila) and Amy Katherine Johnson (Scott); grandchildren Bradley (Jordan), Maximus, Miah, Jonah, Tayland, Savannah, Aurora (Zach), Lee, Adley, MaKayla and Hope; great-grandchildren Naomi, Kai and Adaline; sister Nancy Atwell (Jerome); best friend Dareeta; countless nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends. She also leaves behind her two dogs Zoey and Brutus that she spoiled rotten.
