Della Irene Lines

ALEXANDRIA, IN – Della Irene (Horton) Lines, 61, entered peace and rest from her residence on January 5, 2026, after an extended illness.
She was born on September 18, 1964, in Anderson to Marvin and Cynthia (Dockrey) Horton Barricklow. Della was a graduate of Shenandoah High School-Class of 1982. She also graduated from Ivy Tech Computer Programming in 1985 and received a Bachelor's Certificate in Business Administration in 2025. Della was a lifelong learner, continuing her education to the end. She worked for many years as an aide at Phoenix House in Anderson, retiring in 2015. Della was an active member of the Christian Congregation Church Bible study, which she loved being a part of. She was an avid fan and collector of the Minion characters from the movie Despicable Me, in whom she recognized her playful and ornery humor. She loved suspense movies and cherished long game nights filled with laughter with family and friends. Her 2 dogs, Ginger and Midnight, were important in Della's life and were like family to her. Della lived to share her "quality time" with the people she loved!

Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins
She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Horton, Paternal Grandparents-Darius and Della (Puckett) Horton and Maternal Grandparents-Lon and Irene (Key) Dockrey.
Della's care and simple cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Owens Funeral Home in Alexandria. A public Celebration of Della's Life will be announced at the convenience of the family.
