Della Lou Tillitt

Della Lou Tillitt, 77, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
Della was born to Pearl and Maxine Cockrum on May 24, 1948. She was united in marriage to Sam Tillitt on April 16, 1976. They would have celebrated 50 years of marriage, which Sam and Della were looking forward to.
Della enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking, sipping coffee or Diet Coke on her deck observing her flowers, listening to music, traveling, playing cards and other games with her family and friends. She also enjoyed having all her family home for Christmas as it was her favorite holiday. Her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Della is survived by her husband, Sam; two children, Tina (Roger) and Clint; five grandchildren, Mark, Sarah (Philiph), Jessica (Arul), Trinity (Shaun), and Kale; three great-grandchildren Les, Brian, and one on the way; sister Fern (Rich), brother Eddie (Marty), sister Viola, and brother Tom (Maribeth).
Della was a profound Christian and loved sharing her love for the Lord with others. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Paul, who she is now reunited with in Heaven.
Services will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Bevier in Bevier, Missouri. Graveside inurnment services will take place at 12:00 noon at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the local cancer organization, Randy Johnson Memorial Fund.
