Delma "Dink" Eugene Hunsucker, age 88, of Biscoe, passed away on January 23, 2025, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
Dink was born on January 1, 1937, in Montgomery County to Horace and Hattie Hall Hunsucker. Dink dedicated many of his working years to Energizer Battery until his retirement. Following his retirement, he continued to serve the community by working part-time at Phillips Funeral Home. Dink was a devoted member of Beulah Baptist Church and shared his love for music by singing with the Swordsmen Quartet for over 50 years. He loved his granddaughters deeply and his favorite hobby of singing was his way of serving and witnessing for his Savior.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Allen Hunsucker and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his daughter Darlene Hamilton (Carl) of Troy and son Dwayne Hunsucker (Angela) of Star and grandchildren Natalie Harmon (Zane) and Becca Hunsucker (Michael Morris).
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Phillips Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Beulah Baptist Church with Dr. Neal Jackson and Rev. Chris Bouldin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will be gathering at the home of Dwayne Hunsucker at 158 New Hope Church Rd in Star.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Dink's memory to Beulah Baptist Church, 8454 Howard Mill Rd., Bennett, NC 27208.
