Delores Lucht, age 95 of Lake View, IA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Addington Place in Carroll, IA. Delores Berneice Frank, daughter of Carl J. and Minnie (Buse) Frank, was born at the farm home east of Carnarvon, IA, on August 7, 1930. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Peace Lutheran Church in Ulmer, IA. Delores attended the Sac Township Country School east of Carnarvon for eight years. She then graduated valedictorian of her class from Wall Lake High School in 1947.

On February 20, 1949, Delores married Kenneth Dale Lucht of Coon Rapids, IA, at Peace Lutheran Church in Ulmer. Together they farmed for one year north of Coon Rapids before moving to their farm southeast of Lake View where they raised their seven children: Dale, Sherrie, Janet, David, Julie, Rhonda and Michael. Her father-in-law, Henry Lucht, lived with them for twenty-one years after his wife died in 1970.

Delores helped with farming, including milking cows that produced grade A milk. She raised a large garden annually, and liked oil painting and carpentry. She enjoyed going to basketball games and other activities of her children and grandchildren.

Delores was a long-time active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Lake View. Her faith was deep and unwavering which was evident. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children, Dale (Lynette) Lucht of Eden Prairie, MN, Sherrie (Alan) Segebart of Urbandale, IA, Janet (Earl) Hanson of Sioux Falls, SD, Julie (Wayne) Lietz of Breda, IA, Rhonda (Roy) Pruitt of Arlington, TX, and Michael (Kelly) Lucht of Onawa, IA; daughter-in-law Karen (Wayne) Luckow of Sac City, IA; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Sue Frank of Lake View, IA; many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.

Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Lucht; son David Lucht; grandson Jared Lucht; parents Carl J. and Minnie Frank; brother Duane Frank; and sister Evangeline Frank.
