Delores June Arnold, 95, of Bastrop, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 7. Born in Massillon, Ohio, she was the daughter of Byron and Viola Arnold. She was preceded in death by her parents and her five siblings; Lloyd, Raleigh, Melvin, Waunetta, and Shirley.
Delores was married twice, first to Walter Shafrath and later to Thomas McQuaide. She is survived by her two sons; James and his wife, Claudia, and Mark and his wife, Faye, both of whom reside in Texas.
Blessed with an angelic voice, Delores loved singing in the choir at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Massillon. She was also a dedicated member of the Massillon Women’s Club for many years before relocating to Texas.
For the past three years, Delores made her home in a Texas nursing facility, where she formed many cherished friendships with both staff and residents. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
