Delores Sissell Obituary
Dee was born on November 8, 1949 in Howard City, Michigan, the daughter of Alonzo and Myrtle (Miller) Heminger. She married Joseph Sissell on December 1, 1995 and together they operated an Adult Foster Care home before retiring and moving to the Lake. Dee enjoyed cooking, sewing, picking mushrooms, and visiting the casino. She also enjoyed bowling and golfing. She especially loved her husband Joe and will be missed by her family and friends.
Dee is survived by her husband, Joe Sissell; her children, Vicki (Steve) Saunders, Rusty (Jackie Russo) Powell, Stephfan Sissell, Alan (Kelly) Sissell, Wanda Sissell, Dale (Danielle) Sissell; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brother, Russell (Sandra) Heminger; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Evelyn Lutz, Beverly (Ken) Blow, Arnold Sissell, and Hilda (Gary) Aho; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, December 5, 2022 at Howard City Funeral & Cremation Services, 225 E Edgerton Street in Howard City. Pastor Terri Cummins will be officiating.
Visitation will be held from 1:00pm to 5:00pm on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Howard City Funeral & Cremation Services.
Immediately following the service, burial will take place in the Reynolds Township Cemetery.
There will also be gathering and luncheon for family and friends at the Morley American Legion Post #554, 2560 Northland Drive in Morley after the burial service.

Dee was my wife's sister-in-law and dear friend. We enjoyed many special times with Dee and Joe. I never knew what she might say. She kept me on my toes. We will sincerely will miss our Dee. Rest in peace special lady. We will miss you.
