Delores A. Vaughn, 64, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri passed away peacefully on September 5, 2021 at Liberty Hospital. A graveside service will be held at 10:00AM , September 13, 2021, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, Missouri. Immediately following the graveside service there will be a luncheon held at Acquaint Gathering, 512 Capelle St. Grain Valley, MO 64029. If you wish to send flowers to the family, please have them delivered to the location of the luncheon.

Mrs. Vaughn was born on December 8, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri. Delores was a volunteer for the American Legion Auxiliary of Excelsior Springs for many years and was employed with Easter Seals Midwest. She enjoyed country living, working with and growing beautiful flowers, bird watching, and baking during Christmas time. Delores was married to Carl Vaughn for 44 wonderful years. Carl was Delores only true love in her life.

She was preceded in death by mother and father Betty and Glenn Smith, two sisters Darlene Rist and Dixie Rist, one nephew Steve Maddy, and two nieces Linda Erecius and Donna Maddy.

Survivors include her husband, Carl Vaughn, of the home, step sons Gary (Lisa) Vaughn of Parkville, MO and Mark (Megan) Vaughn of Parker, CO, two sisters Debbie Royal and Maxine Lewis of Blue Springs, MO, four grandchildren; Chelsea, Jordan, Madeline and Macey Vaughn, nephew Ray Scott and nieces Stephanie Miller, Sharon Crews, Penny Sanders, Kelley Utter, Vicky Johnson, and several great nieces.
