OAK GROVE, LA - Funeral services for Delores Jeannie (Smith) Womack, age 73 of Oak Grove, Louisiana will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Cox Funeral Home Chapel, 200 East Noble Street in Oak Grove, Louisiana.
Reverends Jason Strong and Chris Holloway will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Oak Grove, Louisiana.
Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Cox Funeral Home, 200 East Noble Street in Oak Grove, Louisiana.
Jeannie passed into eternal life on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana.
Jeannie graduated from Oak Grove High School. She was a retired teacher's aid and has been able to touch many children's lives. She was a loving and giving person and loved her family so much. She absolutely loved to cook for her family, decorating for the holidays, and fishing with Dennis.
She is preceded in death by her father, Newton Smith; mother, Patricia Leah (Hedge) Porter; step father, Bobby Ray Porter; brother, James Porter; and step daughter, Kathy Mansfield.
She is survived by her significant other, Dennis Smith of Bastrop, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law Joe & Stacie Womack of Hamburg, Arkansas; son and daughter-in-law, David & Melissa Womack, Jr. of Pioneer, Louisiana; daughter and son-in-law, Leah & Matt Ray of West Monroe, Louisiana; step daughter, Cindy Lou Smith of Oak Grove, Louisiana; step daughter and her husband, Linda & Chris Holloway of Charenton, Louisiana; step daughter and her husband, Tammy & Marvin Collins of Oak Grove; 9 grandchildren: Alyssa Boyte (Colt); Noah Womack; Laura Lee Smith (Jaxon); Sierra Womack; Lawson Womack; Haley Womack; Tyler Midwell; Chloe Midwell; Madalyn Womack; Mattox Ray; and Ashley Womack; great grandchild, Tripp Boyte; brother, Steven Porter of Boise, Idaho; brother, David Porter of Boise, Idaho; sister, Shari Bronson of Boise, Idaho; sister, Kay Runge of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and many bonus grandchildren.
Pallbearers are: Joe Womack, David Womack, Marvin Collins, Matt Ray, Mattox Ray, and Colt Boyte.
