Deloris Irene "Rene" Clark, 68, Loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away at her home on Friday, November 14, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, James C. and Kayoko Hylton.
She is survived by her husband, Freddy Clark, of the home; children, Johnny Fugate and Shannon (Elizabethton, TN), Patrick Fugate (Kingsport, TN), Michael Fugate (Appalachia, VA); grandchildren, Nic Fugate, Joey Fugate, Henry Fugate; brothers, Chester Hylton (Skokie, IL), Sambo Hylton (Wise, VA), Keith Hyton (Wise, VA), Jimbo Hylton (Wise, VA); sisters, Barbara Angel and Rob (TN), Mary Carol Hylton and Randy (Norton, VA), Anita Houser and Joe (Blacksburg, VA), Katie Minor and Duckie (Norton, VA), Shelia Vanover and Brian (Wise, VA); step-son, Jody Clark; sister-in-law, who was her special care giver, Jo Clark; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Roy A. Green Funeral Home in Appalachia, VA. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. with Rev. Mike Blair and Glen Hylton officiating. Procession will follow to Powell Valley Memorial Gardens for the committal.
