Deloris Iwan, a loving and compassionate woman whose kindness touched generations, passed away peacefully at Hanson Hospice in Stevensville, Michigan.
Born with a generous heart and a gift for making others feel beautiful inside and out, Deloris dedicated her life to caring for others. As a talented beautician, she brought comfort and dignity to nursing home residents and shut-ins, offering not just her services but her presence—always gentle, always genuine.
Deloris was the proud mother of five children: Betsy Ross Phillips, Revilo Ross Jr., JoAnn Ross Iwan Milliken, Roy Ross, and LaVar Ross. Her family grew to include 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren, each a testament to the love and strength she instilled. She also cherished her stepson, Neil Iwan, who survives her.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Revilo Ross (1987), and her second husband, John Iwan (2008). Through both chapters of her life, Deloris remained a steady source of love, resilience, and grace.
Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the family she nurtured, and the quiet acts of kindness she offered without fanfare. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A private family gathering will be held to honor her memory on Saturday, October 25th at 3:00pm, at her place of interment in Ruggles Cemetery, Baroda, Michigan. The family kindly requests that attendance be limited to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. This gathering was planned for a time when all generations of her family could be present.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in Deloris’s spirit.
