Delphine Marie Williams, born on August 14, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan, departed this life on February 27, 2026, in Clinton Township, Michigan. A cherished member of St. Ronald's Catholic Church and the St. Ronald's Sisters in Service, Delphine dedicated her life to her faith and family, leaving a profound and enduring impact on all who knew her.
Delphine, whose maiden name was Peters, embodied the virtues described in Proverbs 31, as she devoted herself openly to the roles of wife and mother. Every holiday was made special by her loving touch, and through her thoughtful planning, she always ensured a little something was set aside for the yearly family vacation, creating lasting memories with her loved ones.
An avid reader and passionate writer, Delphine found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was known for her exceptional baking skills and welcomed extra guests at her dinner table, often delighting them with her kindness and quick-witted humor. Delphine's warmth made her company enjoyable, and her ability to forge connections with those around her will be fondly remembered.
Alongside her beloved husband, Harvey, Delphine dedicated a decade to serving her community through Meals on Wheels, spreading kindness and nourishment to those in need. Together, they traveled extensively, exploring over 15 countries and embracing the beauty of diverse cultures, further illustrating Delphine's adventurous spirit.
Her unwavering devotion to her faith and family stood as an inspiration to everyone she encountered. She is survived by her children: Janelle Marie Williams (Michael Wilczynski), Judy Kay Williams, Jerome Keith (Nancy) Williams, and John Andrew (Holly) Williams. Delphine also leaves behind her brother, William Peters. As a grandmother, she delighted in her grandchildren: Matthew, Andrew, Christa, Lisa, Lynnette, David, Eric, Daniel, Stephanie, Brandon, and Natalie. Furthermore, she was a proud great-grandmother of 15 and a great-great-grandmother of 2.
Her husband Harvey preceded her in death by only 11 days, also preceding her in death were her beloved parents, Irene (Beyers) Peters and William Jerome Peters, and her sister, Carol Jean Peters. Delphine Marie Williams will be remembered as a loving matriarch, a spirited community servant, and a woman of deep faith, whose legacy will live on through her family and the countless lives she touched.
