Dena Hobbs Graves

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dena Hobbs Graves, who departed this life on January 12, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on September 28, 1959, in Duncan, Oklahoma, Dena brought joy and creativity to those fortunate enough to know her. She spent her days as an administrative associate, where her spunky spirit and hard-headed determination shone brightly.

Dena is survived by her loving daughters, Melissa Parrish and husband Red, and Allison Griffith, who consider her their guiding light. She also had an older brother, Glen Hobbs and wife Tena. Also, many aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece, and nephews. She does also leave behind her two precious and spoiled companions that were her world besides Melissa and Allison which is Bella and Daisy Mae!

Dena did work for Texas A&M as an Administrative Associate for 30 years. Which she retired from in September of 2024. Also, after Moose and TC's passing, she volunteered her time with MADD as well.

Dena was known to her family and friends for her vivacious personality, her artistic flair, and her talent for crochet, which she often shared with loved ones. Those who lived near her affectionately joked that she was the "Karen" of the block, a title reflecting her spirited nature and her penchant for keeping things lively.

Dena was preceded in death by her father, Harold Hobbs, her mother, Clarissa Morford, her baby brother Kevin Hobbs and son and daughter in law, Dwight "Moose" and TC Griffith.

In her leisure, Dena delighted in playing games on her phone, finding relaxation and enjoyment in simple pleasures. Her loving heart and vibrant personality will be cherished in the memories of all who crossed her path.

A visitation will take place at Sanders Funeral Home on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 6:00 PM, providing a time for family and close friends to gather and pay their final respects. The Funeral Service will follow on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Sanders Memorial Chapel, where we will celebrate Dena's life and the love she shared with all of us. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

As we reflect on her life, may we carry her spirit of creativity and love with us, honoring her memory by cherishing the moments we share with our loved ones.
