Dena Lynn Harrington (Wilkerson), age 58, of Hobgood, NC, passed away on August 28, 2025, in Tarboro, North Carolina.
Born on September 7, 1966, in Scotland Neck, North Carolina, Dena spent her life rooted in the community where she was born. Known for her joyful spirit and outgoing nature, she brought warmth and laughter to those around her.
Dena found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She loved spending time at the beach, where the sound of the waves and the ocean breeze brought her peace. Her home was filled with vibrant plants that she nurtured with care and affection. Her love for animals was especially evident in her devotion to her cats, who were cherished companions.
She will be missed by many whose lives were touched by her presence.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A Memorial Gathering will be held on September 20, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at Oak City Baptist Church 109 W 2nd Street. A Graveside Service will be held on September 20, 2025, at 01:00 PM at Oak City Cemetery
