Denise Flar

Denise Flar, 62, of Gastonia, NC, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025.
Denise was born in Jersey City, NJ, on July 23, 1963, to parents Norma I. Sanders and the late William H. Flar.
Denise was a fun-loving mom, wife, daughter, grandmother and sister. She was known for always trying to help someone in need even if she was in need herself. She loved a good time with friends and family and worked hard to be pleasing to her God, Jehovah. The last scripture she shared with me was Acts 3:19 "Repent, therefore, and turn around so as to get your sins blotted out, so that seasons of refreshing may come from Jehovah...". She used her last few weeks on earth praising her God Jehovah to all that she could write in her telephone. She was not afraid to die because she knew her God Jehovah would remember her in the resurrection.
In addition to her father Denise was also preceded in death by her husband, Scott Pepper; granddaughter, Cora Rose.
Denise is survived by her mother, Norma Sanders; daughter, Jacqualyn Pepper; son Joshua Chance Pepper; grandchildren, Liam, Scottie, Chloe, Paytin, Nati, Sage, Harper; siblings, Debra, Billy, Christine, Keith, Shelie and Karl.
Denise fought a long hard battle when it come to her family and she never gave up on them or shied away for a second with taking care of her husband until death to taking care of her 4 grandchildren while their mother was sick, to still being a grandmother to her other 3 grandchildren all while still being a mother to her own 2 children. Every time we needed her, she was always there for us no matter when or why. I was once told God gives his toughest battles his strongest warriors and she was truly one of the to us. WE LOVE YOU MEMAW.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025, 2:00 PM, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 2065 Overhead Bridge Road Gastonia, NC 28056.
