She was a veteran of the U.S. Army where she worked as a mechanic. Denise loved the water and sunsets and was an avid fan of baseball and football.
She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Zerbey of Bonita Springs, FL; sister, Alisa Meinzer of Punta Gorda, FL; her two aunts, Marie Matthews and Mary Joyce Onori; her cousins, Dawn and Kenny Birmingham, Stacey Myers, Ralph Matthews, David Matthews, Stephen Matthews; her nephew, Justin McElwee (Jamie); her step-brother, Russ Zerbey of Burlington, NJ; her girlfriend, T. Steel and many other friends and acquaintances.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home 28300 Tamiami Tr. S., Bonita Springs, FL.
