Denise D. Hunter, age 56, of Canton, passed away Monday, February 3, 2025. She was born May 20, 1968 in Monroe, Michigan, the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Payne) Gillespie. Denise attended Stark State College where she received her STNA Certification. Denise was an avid reader and enjoyed mystery movies and shows.
On December 20, 1986 Denise married Thomas "Tom" Hunter who survives. Also surviving are her son, Todd (Molly) Hunter; daughter, Tia Hunter; along with her grandchildren, Todd Jr., Tegan, Tanner, Daniel, Autum, Seth and Beau.
In addition to her parents, Denise was preceded in death by her sisters, Joyce and Kim; and brother, Randy.

Denise was a great person we grew up together she was my sisters friend we knew each other as brother and sister that's how we were raised. Gonna miss you D. Love you sis.
