It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Denise Marie Sayer, age 76, who departed this life on May 5, 2025. Born on July 6, 1948, in Niles, Michigan, Denise lived a life marked by kindness, compassion, and a deep commitment to her family and community.
Denise proudly spent her professional career as a dedicated Payroll and Benefits professional in the manufacturing industry. Her commitment to excellence and her warm demeanor left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of working with her.
A beloved member of the Red Hat Society, Denise was actively involved in fundraising efforts for veterans and nursing homes in her cherished hometown of Niles. Her generous spirit and enduring love for her community were evident through her many contributions and tireless volunteer work.
Denise's joyful spirit was reflected in her diverse interests. She was an avid fan of NASCAR, cheering fervently for her favorite driver, Jeff Gordon. She found peace and happiness in fishing, where she created lasting memories with family and friends. Notably, she celebrated her reign as Senior Queen of the Apple Festival for two consecutive years, showcasing her vibrant personality and love for her community.
Denise is survived by her devoted husband, Bruce Sayer; her caring daughter, Darlene Pugh; her beloved sons, Floyd Zarobinski Jr. and Raymond (Julie) Zarobinski; her cherished brother, Dale (Sandy) Myer; her loving sister, Madalyn Crocker; her step-children, Matt (Tracey) Sayer and Tim (Melissa) Sayer; her grandchildren, Michael III, Renee, Shelby, Jessica, Kimber, Nolan, Virginia, Breanna, Tim, and Blake; her great-grandchildren, Tucker, Gracelyn, Brock, and Everly, and a host of nieces and nephews. The family finds comfort in knowing that Denise's legacy will continue to live on through the lives of those she has touched.
Denise was preceded in her death by her parents, LaVerne Myer and Niadah Havener; her siblings Millie, Greg, Jerry, and John Myer; her son, Andrew Zarobinski; her stepson Aaron, and her son-in-law, Michael Jr.
Funeral services for Denise Marie Sayer will be held at Brown Funeral Home, on May 16. Visitation will be held from 11:00am-1:00pm, with a funeral service led by Father Rocca beginning at 1:00pm.
In this time of sorrow, we reflect on the beauty that was Denise's life-a life filled with love, joy, and a nurturing spirit. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered. May she rest in eternal peace.
