Denise Ann Walter (née McArthur), age 77, of Westerville, OH passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025 with her family by her side. She is survived by her sister, Mary Therese Valus (Gerald, deceased), nephews Brian (Jamie) with Kelsi and Halli, Jeff (Heather) with Michael and Sarah, Chris (Jamie) with Cayden (deceased) and also nieces and nephews Mary Grace, Sharon, James and Patrick.

Denise was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Walter, her parents James and Lylous McArthur, siblings James, John and Elizabeth, step-mother Leeta McArthur, step-siblings, George Teske (Mary Therese), John Teske (Janet), Rita Glaze (Wally) and nephews and nieces Steven, Chuck and Connie.

Denise was born on February 29, 1948, in Cleveland Ohio as a leap year baby. She attended Nazareth Academy and graduated in 1966. She worked at Ohio Bell for many years, where she met her husband. They enjoyed living on a golf course and cheering for The Ohio State Buckeyes. They loved to travel the world. Hawaii was their favorite destination. She also enjoyed cruising and trips to the Outer Banks with family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday June 26, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12700 Pearl Rd, Strongsville, OH 44136, at 11:30am. Family will greet friends at the church from 10:30am -11:30am prior to Mass. Denise will be laid to rest with an interment and graveside service at St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 S. High Street, Lockbourne, OH, 43137 on Friday, June 27, 2025 at 12:30 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating to your favorite charity in Denise's honor.
