SPRING GROVE - Denise E. Zortman, 67, of Spring Grove, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 3, 2025.
A cherished daughter, devoted mother, and loving sister, Denise was born on December 9, 1957, in York, PA to Donna (Smith) Zortman of Spring Grove, PA and the late Laverne Zortman
Denise was a proud 1975 graduate of Spring Grove Area Senior High School. She began her career at Spring Grove National Bank, but her adventurous spirit soon called for a more exciting and rewarding path: exploring the world of travel. After graduating from the Southeastern Academy of Travel and Tourism in Florida, she dedicated over 37 years to the travel industry. For much of that time, she was a dedicated travel agent with Omega World Travel Agency in York, where she helped countless people create unforgettable memories.
A woman of deep faith and a long-time member of Mount Zion United Church of Christ in Spring Grove, Denise served her church community diligently as both Secretary and Treasurer. She will be remembered for her kind heart, meticulous attention to detail, and a quiet strength that touched everyone who knew her.
In addition to her mother, Donna, Denise is survived by her beloved son, Shane Zortman of Hanover; her sister, Sherry Marshall, and her husband, Brian, of York; and her brother, Dale Zortman of Spring Grove. She was preceded in death by her father, Laverne.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service, which will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA. Her viewing will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Her burial will be private. Her pastor, the Reverend Larry Smith will officiate the service.
