Dennis Bell Sr. was 70 years old; he passed away peacefully at Eager Nursing Home in the early hours of August 6,2025 after a very long battle with COPD and Emphysema. Dennis was born to Joan (Heddle) Gignac, On August 10, 1954, in Point Pleasant New Jersey. He moved to Staten Island, NY in the Stapleton area where he met the love of his life Ann (Merillo) Bell. They married in 1974 they went on to have 3 children; a daughter and two sons.

He was working at Bosten fish market in Port Richmond at the time. They settled in the concord area of Staten Island to raise their children. Dennis moved on to become a carpenter and retired in 2019. He was a die heart NY METS fan and always had a cup of coffee in his hand. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was very devoted and an involved grandfather. He loves his Children, but his grandchildren were his whole world.

He was predeceased by his wife who he loved and enjoyed over 50 years of marriage Ann (Merillo) Bell, his son Timmy Bell who passed in 1979, his mother Joan Gignac stepfather Joseph Carvigglio and his sister Sally Larneard. He is survived by his daughter Prudence (Bell) Diaz his son-in-law Rene Diaz, his son Dennis Bell jr, his daughter in law Rachel Bell and his 6 Grandchildren; Dennis Bell 3rd Amaris Bell, Dante Diaz, Karyanne Hancock, Ava Bell and Timothy Diaz And his Great granddaughter Everette Bell. He was so proud and loved each and everyone of them. He was also survived by his Brother Martin Gignac and his wife Karen and his sister Tracy Schermerhorn and her husband Donald and many nieces and Nephews on both his side and his wife's side of the family.
