Dennis Bogdan, 73, passed away unexpectedly on May 21, 2024. He was born in Youngstown, OH. Dennis graduated in 1968 from Struthers High School where he was a member of the undefeated 1967- 1968 varsity football team. He graduated in 1972 from Youngstown State University on a football scholarship. Dennis was a history teacher for 32 years at Stow High School and was inducted into the Stow Teachers Hall of Fame. While at Stow he coached varsity football, baseball and basketball. He loved anything to do with 50s and 60s pop culture including westerns, sports, and movie memorabilia. He enjoyed traveling throughout Europe with his wife Charlotte, collecting artifacts and memorabilia that he displayed in his classroom. Dennis loved traveling to see his son Michael in San Diego and visiting casinos. He had a lifelong interest in sports. He also enjoyed watching sports with his son Dennis Jr.
He will be severely missed by his dear wife of 52 years Charlotte; children, Dennis Jr, Michael and many other family, friends and generations of students.
In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to the Cuyahoga Falls Historical Society, 2083 Cook St, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221.
There will be a graveside service on May 30, 2024, at 3pm at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park, 2613 Sackett Ave, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223.
