Mr. Dennis Phil “Denny” Claude, age 82
Of Waverly, TN passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN. He was born on January 21, 1944, in McEwen, TN to Thomas and Goldie Claude.
Denny dedicated a remarkable 49 years of his life working as a supervisor at the aluminum plant, where his colleagues affectionately referred to him as “Porky.” His commitment to his work and his unwavering dedication to his team made a lasting impact on those who had the privilege to work alongside him.
Denny was not only a devoted worker but also an active member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, exemplifying a life of faith and community service. His involvement with the Knights of Columbus, through the Alabama Charter, further demonstrated his passion for serving others and contributing to the community around him.
Outside of his professional life, Denny found joy in nature and the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for fishing and gardening, nurturing both beautiful roses and muscadines in his yard, showcasing his deep appreciation for the outdoors. An avid Notre Dame Football fan, he proudly cheered for his team, embodying the spirit of loyalty and passion that sports can inspire.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 8:00pm Wednesday, February 11th at Humphreys County Funeral Home.
A Rosary Service will be held at 9:30am Thursday, February 12th at St. Patricks Catholic Church.
A Funeral Mass for Mr. Claude will be conducted at 10:00am Thursday, February 12, 2026, at St. Patricks Catholic Church with Father Zack Kirangu officiating.
Interment will follow in the Larkin Cemetery in Hurricane Mills.
