Dennis Richard Corral, a dedicated groundskeeper for the City of Tucson's Parks and Recreation, passed away on January 20, 2024, in his hometown of Tucson, AZ. He was born on December 12, 1956, also in Tucson. Dennis' passing marks the end of a remarkable journey filled with hard work, joy, and love.

Dennis dedicated over 30 years of his life working as a groundskeeper for the City of Tucson's Parks and Recreation. His commitment to his work was unwavering, and he took great pride in maintaining the city's parks and recreational areas. Dennis played an essential role in creating beautiful green spaces that brought joy to countless residents and visitors alike.

Educated at Pueblo High School in Tucson, Arizona, Dennis developed a strong work ethic from an early age. He applied this diligence to his career and became a respected member of the Parks and Recreation team. His colleagues fondly referred to him as "the rock," recognizing his steadfastness and dependability.

Throughout his life, Dennis fostered deep connections with those around him. Always wearing a warm smile on his face, he possessed an innate ability to bring joy into every room he entered. Dennis was a social butterfly who enjoyed engaging in conversations that ranged from lighthearted banter to profound discussions.

Described as a combination of Rodney Dangerfield and Danny DeVito, Dennis had a sharp wit that kept everyone entertained. He could effortlessly make others laugh and find humor in any situation. His lively spirit uplifted those who were fortunate enough to know him.

In his leisure time, Dennis indulged in collecting baseball cards and passionately cheering for Arizona State University, the Green Bay Packers, the New York Yankees, and the Golden State Warriors. A true sports fanatic, he shared his enthusiasm for the games with friends and family. Breakfast was his favorite meal of the day.

Dennis experienced many memorable moments throughout his life which he cherished. Some of his proudest accomplishments include receiving Aaron Rodgers' autograph, attending a game at Yankee Stadium, and embarking on unforgettable trips to Green Bay, Europe, and Mexico City.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Connie Corral, as well as his siblings Dianna Chavez and Danny Corral. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories to be carried on by his beloved wife of 18 years, Deborah R. Corral. Dennis is also survived by his children Rene Corral (Elianna) and Yvonne A. Corral, and grandchildren Colton Corral, Genni Corral, Dax Corral, Mila Estolano, and Athena Doubek. He will be deeply missed by his step-sons Marcos L. Doubek and Ronald Etolano and his brother Darryl Corral. Additionally, Dennis leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, friends who were fortunate to have known him.

A memorial service to honor Dennis' life will be held on February 2, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM at Martinez Funeral Chapels in Tucson located at 2580 S 6th Ave. Following the service, a memorial gathering will take place from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Martinez North Chapel and Reception Hall located at 2500 S 6th Ave.

Dennis Richard Corral will forever be remembered for his dedication to his work, love for sports, infectious laughter, and warm personality. His presence in our lives brought immeasurable joy, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.
