Dennis Dalton Obituary

Dennis retired from Cahokia District #187 where he worked as a physical education teacher at Wirth/Parks Middle School. He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caseyville. He loved to golf with his friends Bob, Otto, and Frank; loved to read; and take vacations to Disney. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (nee Stotler) Dalton; father, Byford Dalton; his stepmother, Pearl Dalton; and a brother, Kenny Dalton.
Surviving are his two children: Jill (Gary Scaggs) Dalton of Edwardsville, IL; son, Mark (Tracy) Dalton of Collinsville, IL; two grandchildren: Madison (Logan) Pelo and Dalani (Logan Rader) Dalton; a great-grandson on the way; a brother, Edward Brower of Caseyville, IL; a sister-in-law, Sue (Dave) Woods of Greenfield, IL; a niece, Dawn (Eric) Jones; and a nephew, Chad (Jody) Woods.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, October 28, 2024 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 901 S Main St, Caseyville, IL 62232 with Father James Fee O.M.I. celebrant. Burial will be in Valhalla Cemetery in Belleville, IL.
Memorials are suggested to St. Stephen Catholic Church and will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
