Dennis DeKeyser Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Lapeer on Jul. 28, 2025.
Dennis William DeKeyser, age 56 of Attica, MI, passed away unexpectedly on July 26, 2025, in Harrison, MI. He was born in Pontiac, MI on May 25, 1969, to the late Dennis and Colleen DeKeyser.

Dennis proudly and loyally served his country in the United States Army from 1991-1996, an experience that shaped his strong sense of duty and devotion to others. He was deeply proud to serve and carried that same dedication and selflessness throughout his life.

After his time in the Army, Dennis returned to Texas and built a fulfilling career as a Journeyman Electrician. Known as a true jack of all trades, he had an incredible gift for working with his hands and could fix just about anything. Whether it was engines big or small or projects around his home, Dennis never hesitated to use his skills to help others. If someone needed a hand, he was the first to show up-patient, kind, and determined to make things right. His ability to build, repair, and care for others was a true reflection of his generous heart.

Dennis loved spending time outdoors, where he found peace in observing nature and watching the deer and turkeys that often visited his property. More than anything, he will be remembered as a kindhearted and gentle soul who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was protective, patient, loving, and deeply devoted to his family. To many, he was more than just a friend-he was a father figure, always ready to offer wisdom, guidance, and unwavering support. His greatest joy in life was his family, especially his grandson Cruz, who brought him endless pride and happiness. Dennis was a proud father and grandfather whose love will continue to surround those he cherished most.

Dennis is survived by his daughter Jessica (Sabino) Medina of Waco, TX; grandson Cruz Medina; loving partner Candee Bradow of Attica, MI; sister Shelly (Greg) Hollanders of Waco, TX; niece Lindsey McLemore and nephew Taylor Hollanders.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 542 Liberty Park, Lapeer, MI 48446. Friends may visit on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to A Place For Veterans, 2442 E. Maple Ave., Ste. 205, Flint, MI 48507.
