Dennis Patrick Depasquale, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully in his home on July 13, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on April 15, 1953, in New York City, Dennis lived a life marked by creativity, compassion, and generosity.
A lifelong musician, Dennis's passion for drumming not only brought him countless cherished friendships over the years but also led him to the most meaningful one of all-his marriage to his best friend and soulmate, Antoinette Depasquale. Later in life, his passion for music blossomed into a deep appreciation for guitar craftsmanship. He became a skilled guitar technician and built an impressive collection showcasing a wide variety of guitar styles.
Dennis also worked professionally as an IT Specialist, leveraging his affinity for computer technology not only in his career but also to support friends and family whenever they needed help. Whether he was behind a drum set, tinkering with a guitar, or solving complex tech issues, Dennis approached life with enthusiasm and dedication.
Beyond his professional and musical pursuits, Dennis was a proud member of the Free and Accepted Masons, Cyprus Shriners, Knights Templar, and Rose Croix. His strong sense of commitment and brotherhood allowed him to form bonds with his community that will never be broken.
He had a profound love for animals and was a devoted pet parent to his three dogs-Lucy, Piper, and Daisy-who brought him endless joy.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Antoinette Depasquale; his daughters, Alison Spence (James) and Ashley Brown (Eric); his stepson, Paul Bryan (Brittany); and his grandchildren, Giada Spence, Giuliana Spence, Jack Brown, Dean Brown, and Sophia Porpora. His warmth, humor, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Dennis's memory to the ASPCA, a cause close to his heart.
A memorial service for Dennis will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at Applebee-McPhillips, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Dennis, please visit our Tree Store.
