Dennis Forgue Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Carrier Family Funeral Home & Crematory - Windham on Feb. 21, 2026.
Dennis James Forgue passed away on January 27, 2026, at his home in Londonderry, NH. He was 69 years old.

Born on August 6, 1956, in South Boston, Dennis was the son of the late Emile and Jeannette Forgue. A self-described troublemaker in his youth, he found his direction by serving his country, in both the U.S. Navy and the Army National Guard.

Dennis built a long and steady career with the United States Postal Service, but his true passions lay elsewhere. He was the ultimate New England sports fan, with a deep love for football and basketball. On the court, his jumping ability earned him the nickname "Frogman."

He was a man of many talents and interests. Dennis was a true music lover, with Pink Floyd and the classic rock of the 60s and 70s holding a special place in his heart. In his younger days, he was an avid comic book fan, finding heroes in Superman, Thor, and the Hulk. He was a natural-born fixer and builder who bought a house and renovated it himself with his own tools. He loved movies and TV, he loved to dance (with more enthusiasm than skill), and he was a true foodie who appreciated a good meal.

Above all, Dennis was a father and a friend. He is survived by his sister, Priscilla Dalrymple, and her husband Charles; his wife, Ai Forgue; and his son, Preston Forgue, who was the light of his life. He was a father who never judged, who always believed, and whose pride in his son was a constant, guiding force. His legacy is one of unconditional love and support.

Dennis was predeceased by his parents, his brother Steve Forgue, and his sister Lorraine Smith.

The family will hold a memorial service with military honors for Dennis later in the spring when the weather warms. The family suggests performing an act of kindness for someone else, reflecting the generous spirit Dennis showed to others. To leave a message of condolence, please visit www.carrierfuneralhome.com.
