It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Dennis "Andrew" Foy on July 8th, 2025, at the age of 36.
Andrew was the beloved son of Dennis and Cara Foy (née Summerville), cherished brother of Tiffany Bangle (Matthew) and Christopher Foy (Jamie), and proud uncle to Natalie and Mason Bangle, and Derek and Dalton Foy. He is also survived by a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who will forever remember his warmth, humor, and generous spirit.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, Andrew served six years with honor and distinction, including deployments to both Afghanistan and Iraq. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart, a reflection of the courage and sacrifice he embodied throughout his military service.
Following his time in the Army, Andrew joined the Boilermakers Union, where he worked diligently before pursuing higher education. He went on to earn a degree in Cyber Security, always striving to learn and grow in everything he did. He later joined the United States Postal Service, where he proudly served his community as a mail carrier.
Andrew had a passion for cooking that brought people together. Whether it was his famous crowd-pleasing mac and cheese or his unforgettable apple pie ribs, he found joy in creating meals that made others smile. His love for cooking was matched only by his love for gaming-he enjoyed connecting with friends through online games and always found comfort in the camaraderie it brought.
Outside of work and home, Andrew loved going to concerts with friends and never passed up a chance to enjoy sushi at his favorite hibachi restaurant. These moments of joy reflected his vibrant personality and love for life.
Though his time with us was far too short, Andrew lived a full and meaningful life-one defined by service, generosity, and heart. His memory will live on through the meals he lovingly prepared, the laughter he shared, and the bonds he built with those lucky enough to know him. He was a son, a brother, an uncle, a veteran, and a loyal friend-and he will be deeply missed, always remembered, and forever loved.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 10am at The Rock Church, 205 Esplanade Ave., Pitman, NJ 08071.
Inurnment Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery, Williamstown.
